Its cooler looking

You get about .15 cuft more space - your magnets are so big you might get more

The voice coil gets much more cool air allowing higher power handling and more reliable performance because the coil runs cooler, longer. I have seen a competition setup with inverted liquid cooled coils... a bit far but you get the point.

Since everything under ~130hz is non-directional you can get away with them backwards and probably couldnt even tell the difference. Make sure you reverse the polarity though (the sub should come towards you when given positive polarity.

You can get creative with box sizes, since mounting depth is no longer a problem.

It also makes it louder because most of the bass comes out of the magnet therefore pushing the sound even harder than if it was not inverted.

Duh, why do you think ported boxes are louder than sealed boxes? all that bass fromt he magnet comes out.

Wow - I Have Been Doing It Wrong For 20 Years...... Should Have Been Letting The Bass Out The Magnet All These Years

They should make the ports out of magnets too, then it'd be super loud. :-o
