Default ebay chips for ecu any good

hey are the chips off ebay any good im thinking of geting one i have a d16z6 haveing the vetc kick in at about 4400 and haveing a redline of 8500 or 8200 is that safe on the interals

All it does is advance timing, hence the knocking.

Advancing timing without upgrades and without a proper tune = dead motor every time!
