There is alot more factors in launching then your clutch.. what kind of tires? what kind of suspension? what are you on? a track or street? which track your at if it is a track.. the list goes on.. it comes down to trial and error.. go practice and don't get arrested. -Ben

if you have a stock b16 in a coupe then you shouldnt have traction problems.....you just dont know how to drive.
some on once asked me when i was in my cr-x..they said " hey how do you get it to stop spinning? " i replied with " put a b16 in it " :-)

To get a good launch,
get a good technique. -Bob

i've heard a bunch of people talk about preload what exactly is that (im guessing revving it up to a ceartain rpm and dumping the clutch im not sure tho) i want to go to the runday sunday and it will be my first time racing at an actual track and i dont wanna be the noob out there spinning my tires through 2 gears b4 my tires get some traction bump for you homie and thanks for all the help janky99, cold_beer, and senor honda

Go get some slicks, put them on, hold gas down at idle until it nails the limiter, remove your foot from the clutch, watch car stall ;)
Then, learn to drive..

Pre-Loading. When you reach the first staging light, and pull up the e-brake, than you proceed to slip the clutch to move up to trigger the next light. Which in turn keeps your drivetrain on each other so the gears dont smash into each other. You then put the ebrake down and slip the clutch off the line at like 5-6k Let the clutch out as much as possible without spinning. If it spins dont take the clutch out to much. This will eat your clutch but is probably the best way to launch.
I figured I would post someone worth while.

im on street tires and i was wandering what to launch on the street. im not used to this type of clutch so. my tires dont spin. my boy launched the car at like 6500rpms and got a bad ass launch. im wandering if i should fether the clutch or instead of just dumping it and giving it full throttle if i should feather the gas pedal. lmk

the only way you will figure it out is to do it
go out and have fun, just do it away from everyone so you dont get busted
good luck

Rev it up to 6500rpm then dump the clutch and watch everyone laugh at you when you snap your axles. Then put Bob's :mullet: cock in your mouth and procede to suck until he blows his load in your mouth :-o :monkspk:and you should run a low 12 because hondas are wicked fast when they are naturally aspirated.
dude, not to be a dick but,
"i'm not used to it"
that's the key. no one is ever used to how something new is on their car. everyone has to start in the beginning for everything. just drive the car enough to where you do get used to it, then take it to the track, cause taking it to the track without being used to how it drives, chances are, you'll break something.
