SRT4 Down again

my skittle is down again the transmission will not go into gear and the head is makin a bad ass knockin noise like somethin is broken jus being tossed around inside........well all i know is that in the morning everythin was fine until the car wouldn't go into fourth and went to 2nd gear so i put it in neutral and try again and same thing again so i jus put it in fifth and drove it to work..then on my way home the belt to power steerin and a/c flew off then almost home everythin went sour tranny wouldn't go into gear and the motor started makin bad noise since then it has been parked waithin to see where to take it to get it fixed for a good price someone help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks :sad:

take it one step at a time. Fix the belts first, the go from there.

well belt is on already but man it sounds bad!! (the knockin) troublshootin i dont know where to start...where do i start???

sounds like the SRT-4s are almost as bad as the DSM guys say their DSMs are. Is this car still under warrantee?

so many things could be at fault with the tranny. Try put a listing on srtforums.com if you havent there will be someone that can help you...

still under warranty but not sure if my warranty is void since i lowered it and changed the exhaust but i got all stock parts...i was told to check on srtforums.com for some recalls on my 03 so i got to look into that

Exhaust and lowering will not VOID/AFFEcT power train warranty. What will void it is signs of abuse.

So at IDLE your car is knocking?
Did you try with car in neutral, foot on clutch??

If it's under warranty talk to the dealership. Get it towed there

if it still has a waranty, dont Touch it! have it towed to the dealer. If they even try to give you shit about "abuse" call the higher ups, dealerships love it when you talk to the owner of the place. Your car will be worked on no questions asked, unless the owner is a dick. Ferman is all about cust. service, some of their dealerships might not look like it but as soon as you start calling higher ups they get shit done.

just got back from vacation and i will have the car towed there this week thanks again and i will keep you guys posted

tranny sounds like the shifting fork..have had many proplems with that and they told me they were planning on recalling it but never did??

well i got a call and they said that the clutch is wore and its 1100 to replace it and then they can't tell me anything else and they trippin sayin i am racing my car just cuz i lowered it and got a side exit exhaust so i got to go in person to see wats good so hopefully they fix it i need my baby back

I would say DSM sounds to be more reliable? :dunno:

ok well here is the update...supposely its the clutch so now i am looking for where to buy a clutch for a good price and where to get it put on soon so someone hit me up quick thanks

thers some stock clutchs going pretty cheap on neons.org...check in the forsale parts...if u cant find anybody to install it for u hit me up and we can work it out...

alright sounds good now i jus got to find the clutch and i can get it rollin bay city clutch said a stock one was 380 and a stage 1 was 575 does that sound bout good or should i keep looking
