I wonder if the TSA will convince Hernando County Airport to give us the boot?

yeah, it seems the SCCA very well could be kicked out of Brooksville. The TSA does not play around with airport access/security.

They kicked out the Boy Scouts, too. The fucking BOY SCOUTS! What happened to protecting freedom?

These agencies are either really bored, really scared or we're about to be attacked...

I consider the TSA to be the biggest waste of money and other resources ever conceived by the government. As a pilot, I've seen all of the bay area airports tighten security post-911. Most of them have "upgraded" their perimeter fences and installed cameras. Whoop-de-doo, it is still incredibly easy to gain access to small airports. What the TSA fails to realize is that general aviation (small) aircraft pose virtually no threat to anything. Look at the 15 year old kid who kamikazed himself into the Bank of America building downtown. He broke a few windows and that was it! Most airplanes that are kept at small airports, such as Brooksville, have an extremely limited capacity for "cargo." A midsize car can carry more "cargo" than your average general aviation airplane can. Hell, look at the devestation caused in Oklahoma City by a VAN. In case the TSA hasn't taken notice, small aircraft aren't the weapon of choice for terrorist. In fact, one has never been used in a terroristic fashion. Kicking out an archery club and a Boy Scout troop is insane and it is yet another illustration of how worthless the whole organization really is.

Well, hopefully the airports want our revenue. I imagine those other clubs weren't paying anything.

sad

don't race on the streets ~ agreed

don't do stupid stuff in parking lots ~ agreed

race and compete with an organization ~ agreed

but oh wait

due to terriorists, old people who hate noise, greedy people who think insurance companies are money trees, a 1,000 other factors

you can't compete here either

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
