yeah im pretty sure i will. my mustang was very custom, im not to sure iw ant to get into it that much.... i think what i want to do is fire the subs up, in a wedge shaped box (curved with the back of the seat, and then sloped back down on the other side and float the amps off the front of the box (part facing rear of car).. im just not sure how do die it into the side

as an installer - you should know that dynamate around and behind your speakers is worth gold! -

not for every system and definitely not for every sound. You dont get crisper highs with dynamat... and sometimes its not worth the weight.

+1 not worth it for the weight.. and IMO dynomatt is a waste. i havent heard a big enough differance for hte cost/weight.. for rattling i use sheets of cotton, laugh if you want but i dont seem to have any rattles :dunno:

tighten the bolts, cotton is a fire hazard in auto applications.
at least use seat foam if you insist, its fire retardant.

DAMNIT why cant life be easy for once!?
i dont know if bolt tightening would do the trick, i think the thing is just naturally flimsy.
I'll see what i can do once it stops raining, after i've taken a nap, after doing homework and studying, and maybe after eating dinner.... ugh =[. at least my priorities are pretty straight

its not regular cotton, i tried to burn it to see how safe, and it wouldnt catch... so i guess its safe.. it was like 2 bucks a yard at joann fabrics.

To each his own, but the weight argument is crap. What does the weight hurt? Performance? Ride? Cmon...how much weight are you planning on adding? Even 50-100 lbs is nothing, unless you drag race for a living. At least say 'its too expensive' or something...
And, if done right, the difference is huge. My caprice is doing well over 145 db, and without one rattle.
My two biggest dynamat jobs were in cars that didn't even have stereos. What it did for these was eliminate nearly all the road noise. Whatever sound comes out of your stereo has to go over top of whatever is already there...road noise, engine noise, wind noise, etc. The less of these you have, the cleaner and louder your sound will be.

and it is way to expencive for me, i spent close to 200 bucks on just the dynomatt itself in my old mustang... i doubt ill ever do it again

i never said i know it all, nor am i telling toby he is wrong... i know what dynomatt is supposed to do, and have had it in a car before. i just personally think that what you get out of it is not worth the time or money. ill shove some cotton behind the rattling panels and call it a day, im not making anything for competition or show, i just want the inside to look as stock as i can and make the back semi-clean. if it was comp. or show i would for sure dynomatt it.

Hey Tim
Hows that white LS cover holdin up?
Anyways, I read you are still running off the headunit, but hows the midbass response of the SS comps?
I just got a 95 Eldorado and I want upgrade the stereo. I was thinking of using the SS6.5" (just the driver, not the comp set) in the rear deck for midbass/fill. I havent found a set of 6x9's that I like the midbass response of, so I was thinking of doing an adaptor plate and using the 6.5". I wish Kicker still made their freeair 6x9's, lol.
Also, are the KS comps clear and crisp? I may got that route for front staging, but looking at the SS comps also.

off the deck the midbass is pretty week IMO. but im really not pushing them hard at all untill there hooked up on the amp. they do sound clean as hell though!... the ks speakers are a good bang for the buck IMO.. everyone on here hates kicker, but there speakers are pretty good....
the white valve cover is doing ok, she over heated the car pretty bad which made it yellow some, but other then that its holding up great.
