just got this head unit, all installed with the ipod connector and whatnot. Sounds great looks great, but I'm having some trouble figuring out some settings and the manual is pretty incomplete.
I just need to get it to display the full (or atleast all 16 characters it says it can display) title of songs and albums. I can get it to do the scrolling bit on 8 characters, but can't quite figure out how to get it to use the rest of the space. any help is appreciated.

I believe the 4800 still uses the old ipod interface, which is not fully enhanced. So, it recongized the ipod just as a generic 'external' device, in which case the display is limited to 8 characters at a time.
When you switch to the ipod, does the screen say 'ipod' or just 'external' or 'ext'?
