Check out this tire review and post your thoughts of the results.

Having some experience running Kumho Ecsta MX, my jaw dropped when I saw they finished in eleventh place out of eleven tires... but I guess there's a good explanation for it in the review. It still chafes though :!:

Who cares about wet conditions for MAX PERFORMANCE tires? I still don't get that.

Now that you mention it, I agree. Car and Driver has done things in the past like this that make me raise an eyebrow. All too often, when they do a car comparison, the fastest car doesn't come out on top. In those cases they use "styling" or "gotta-have-it factor" or whatnot to skew the results. Example: Pontiac Solstice vs Mazda MX-5 - Solstice won.

It's the same concept with their tire review. The obvious question is which company writes the bigger advertising check? An age old question with regard to printed publications. But when magazines do this type of thing, it makes it harder to trust any printed publication.

For the tire to come in 2nd overall and never placed higher than 3rd in any performance catagory? Completely lame.
