If you don't have a short on your power wire somewhere, the outputs on your amp are fried. When this happens, it makes a direct short from hot to ground inside the amp.
Unhook the power at the amp, and try another fuse. If it still blows, you have a short on the power wire. Check where it comes through the firewall, and then check any screws you may have put in...one of them might have pierced the wire.
If it doesn't blow, it's either the connection at the amp (not likely) or the outputs.
Most likely cause of output failure is shorted speaker leads.

now that I read the thread, I have to say I think its the wire itself.

Sounds like a direct short in your amp (aka bad amp). Try disconnecting the power wire on the amp end (tape it up so it doesn't touch anything) and see if it still blows the fuse. If not, it's your amp.

Did you disconnect the power at the amp and try it again???? Because that's going to be the determining factor in if it's your wiring or your amp itself.

Don't feel too bad, I've seen it happen several times before.
