the only reasonable explanation the subs worked in the sealed box without killing the amp was probably loose wiring in the ported box,, that's the one and only explantion,, but yeah that 1 ohm load works,, i can't wait till i find a box.... i would go with a custom from one of you guys but i might just spend the money and have it custom built at auto audio or car tunes, lol,, i had this guy build me a box once and it was so shitty,, so if i have an actual person build it i want it done right by ppl that do it all the time

OK, let's make it worth his while. Perhaps we truly aren't worthy of this diagram...

Samakaballer, if you can post or otherwise produce a diagram showing 3 (three) dual 2 (two) ohm voice coil subs, wired into exactly 1 (one)ohm, without using any other devices (like an accumatch, or something), I will give you $500. If you'd prefer, you can bring this diagram to the meet today, and I'll give you the money on the spot.

Now, you can't just draw something up and say its 1 ohm. The diagram will have to be verified. I will verify, as will the others here on TR. To be fair, you can bring your own experts to stand up for your diagram. If you still think we're being unfair, we'll go to an independent expert. I'll accept any experienced installer, at any reputable shop (Cartunes, Sound Advice, Auto Audio, Divine Sounds), but this person will have to publically verify, and 'put their name on it'. None of this 'I went by Auto Audio, and they said I am right'.

yo i have a box for 3 12's. i had it made by A&B audio in tarpon springs. I took it out of my car a month ago because i got new speakers. you can have it for 40 bucks . it's just sitting in my garage. it's in perfect shape !!!!!
