As the title says.Should I bother running my car at TR track day w/out drag radials.I'm running Michelin Pilot sports 335/30/18's but I will probably spin all over the place.I'm not much of a drag racer but I'm curious how bad traction at the track is with regular street tires.

Umm it all depends..Theres a good chance you will spin first and second..But who knows?...Its fun anyways you just wont run what your capable of.

Alot of it depends on the car and even more on the driver.

I was cutting 1.8 60ft times on a set of 245/45/zr17 daytonas. Its about how you launch it and how much throttle you give it.

You won't be launch it at the rev limit and sticking thats for sure. No one saying you can go as fast as 12.00's with a crappy set of tires. As long as you have the hp and some driving skill.

Give it a shot. I’ll be there on street tires.
I plan on having some drag radial for the next event in the fall.

It's worth a try. I've pulled 1.9 60's with my 265 pilot sports on my FD. You just have to find the sweet spot. I know FD's can be hard to hook up, especially with your setup, but with those size of tires and some skill, you really shouldn't have much of a problem.

go out there and try it. this was youll know how your car will act on the street if your ever in a street race.
my buddy who has a mach1 on street tires says to leave the traction control ON. dont turn it off. if you have TCS.
