been checked 2wice,, it's hooked up correctly nothing wrong,, i just think the subs aren't powerful enough cuz,, the amp always goes into protection mode ,, not overheating because the amp is barely hot,, do yo uthink it's possible that those kenwood amps know ur subs can't handle the power and r ready to blow???? lol,, there's really no other explanation

i just think those kenwood amps r little bitches to tell u the truth, lol,,, i've heard reviews about how there kenwood amp always cut out and they had 2 subs hooked up at w.e 2 ohms,, like mine,, and it always cut out,, but they bought one 2 ohm powerful sub and hooked it up and it never cut out so who knows im not worrying about it,, if anyone wants to buy those 2 kicker comp vrs in the kicker ported box factory,,, pm me,, i want 3 since i rarely use it ,, had them for a couple months

I cant understand half of that but from the half I do understand you are angry that your amp is going into protect mode and is not getting hot at all.

1. Amps dont know how powerfull your subs are.

2. The 9152 will go into protect if you have the voltage gain set to high sending a clipping signal. A 4v headunit should have the knob at 40% an 8v should have it all the way at minimum volume.

3. With a 1000wrms amp you might just be pulling too much juice.

4. Kicker CVR subs can handle a lot more than that kenwood amp could throw at them.

5. You can get two 12" Kicker CVRs in box brand new for 200 on ebay.

Agreed. Amps go into protect mode before blowing fuses b/c sometimes, a fuse is too late. If your impedance is too low for the amp, it will protect almost immediately. wire it to a highter ohm rating.

lol,, the specs put it,, rms x 1 ohm = 900 rms,, rms x 2 ohm = 900 rms , rms x 4 ohm = 500 rms,,,,, so im deffinately not wiring to a lower rating,, i had a kenwood amp before this that only ran at 4 ohms,,, nothing lower and it worked fine at 4 ohms i knew i needed a diff amp that ran at lower ohms so i purchased this amp ,, obviously for this reason,,, but for some odd ball reason it's not cutting out like it did almost every 2 min's,, now it takes about 30 min's ,, i didn't really do anything different i just put them in a sealed box and did the same wiring,,, everyone i know wiht kenwood amps tell me how weird they act ,, im st arting to figure out why,, next week im hooking up 1 more comp vr to this amp ,, 3 kickers at 1 ohm ,, this amp can handle one ohm i wanna see what it sounds liek,, but i have to purchase the box that holds three next week

lol,, i forget it's on my kicker wire diagram though,, all on paper,, it even showed you how 2 wire 4 kicker comp vrs at 1 ohm completely,, just watch,, i'll show u a diagram later,, but,,, using my 3 dual 2 ohm voice coil subs,,, just trust me i have the diagram in my glove compartment,, it's pretty amazing the possibilities when kicker let's you have diagrams off t here site on wiring subs,, if you wire 3 dual 4 ohm voice coil comp vrs,, that would all equal 2 ohms.. lol,, i guess you guys never heard of this,, well just go to the kicker website and look at manuals for comp vrs,,, look for a wiring diagram it'll show you ... i thought i was the dumbest in the world at this,, but when ppl start saying im a total idiot sayign i can wire 3 2 ohm dual voice coil subs 2 equal 1 ohm,, now i feel smart again,, im out

not goint out to my car to get the diagram,,, i'll literally take a picture of the diagram tomorrow and post it on here ,, trust me ,, what's gonna kill you is that u can wire 4 of these babies at 1 ohm,, but that woudn't work out well for me considering my amp wouldn't put out the power to realy get all i can out of the subs,, but yeah wheni say trust me ,,, that means trust me ,, i wouldn't lie about stupid shit like that ,, no matter how stupid i was at car audio. not really sure how much louder it's really going to be on this amp,, probably not much maybe a lot idk,,, just to have 3 working in my huge ass trunk will sound a little bit better i hope and look a lot better

(3) dual 4 ohms subs cannot give you a nominal impedance of 2 ohms.

8 8 8 - 2.6

2 2 2 - .66 ohms


Even if you did something stupid like wire one to two ohms and the other to 8 ohms you STILL wont get 2 ohms in the end and you will end up knocking one speaker off phase with the others.

i have 3 dual voice coil " 2 ohm subwoofers" ,, and yeah you can get that out of DUal 4 ohm voice coils... i have the diagram that shows this... amazing things happen when you have diagrams to ,, like wheni hook up 3 dual 2 ohm subs to equal 1 ohm you will see lol,, i'll go to this audio meet whenever it is to show u 3 subs hooked up 2 one amp 1 ohm
