Just got a srt-4

Hey, I just bought a 03 srt-4 with 40,000 miles. I got the car for a decent price. Of course, the dealer ship always come out on top. I searched for a month looking for a 04. I'm a dsm guy, This doge this is so new to me. If anyone can point me towards the right direction. My goals for the car is just to be a really fun daily driver with about 300hp. Any website about the srt4?

Welcome to the LSD-less world of the 03 SRT lol. 300whp is pretty easy and cost effective to achieve just make sure you do your research (srtforums.com) and have fun with it!

Yep, the non lsd. I was trying to advoid the o3, but that's all I can find. Most srt4 was highly modded. I will do my research before I do anything.

Srtforums is your friend,300whp on the stock turbo is attainable,somewhat easily,but costly.

Check out slowboyracing.com because you can call there to talk to a tech about your car. I just got a 2005 SRT and got a greddy profec b-spec 2 boost controller, huge front mount, hard piping and a hks bov. I have the mopar bov right now and if you want 300hp I would reccomend the hks.

congrats on the new car bro, you'll be much happier with your SRT vs your DSM, I remember when I sold you the radiator and told myself you're going down the same road as me when I had my DSM. I just got tired of working on it, tuning and fixing and all the other crap trying to go fast, now I can go fast(faster than my DSM after I get stage3)and have reliability...good luck..

I have the mopar bov right now and if you want 300hp I would reccomend the hks.

+1-- the questions you need to research(srt4boy)is---the stock valve can hold how many psi before leaking? then why did the mopar engineers make a BOV plate-is it a noise maker or does it have a function? if it does have a function how much boost can it hold with and without the BOV plate? just trying to let you not waste your money. On my old DSM I was running 22psi with a stock CRUSHED(free mod-drill a few holes and use a vice to squeeze it down)BOV and it never leaked, cost was $0.

Hey, I guess you didn't go the evo route. Yes, I'm really happy with my car. I still have my dsm. I will always love dsm. Is there a FAQ on SRT-4 like the dsm site?

get an LSD...they can be had fairly cheap plus the car is due for a tranny fluid service.....so it would kinda work out

yeah Lay--damn EVO(new)was out of my price range, I do love my snap, crackle, pop and the rice plate I have but I'm still parting out my DSM, not too long sold the 6 bolt(still got the shell, 57 trim and the and some other stuff)--now for the FAQ on srtforums, there's a crap load of stuff on there to help you. Sorry SRT4boy, that why when you hear ppl. telling you things about motors and how to go fast you have to be careful, especially when it's any type place like that BOB's place where you got your info from--wonder where that BOB's place is----------lol

Hey I just got a greddy profec b boost controller, front mount (24-12-3.5), Hks BOV, and hard piping. Do you think it would be ok to run 17 pounds of boost.

since you got an 05 just get S1 ECU(if you dont get the ECU you'll have a CEL)and you'll be good to go for your 17psi Those are a few good mods to have minus the HKS BOV--lol--just joking, every one goes about things a little differently..enjoy
