I have been looking for a decent stereo system for my single cab 96 ford ranger but I have not seen anything. My dad said that we would have to make a custom box. I am wanting to do two 8's. I need help.

boxes are easy to make if you have a circular saw. I would put a single 10" over two 8s tho.

how much space do you have to work with back there?

Two decent 8's can definetly get down in a truck. You probably could fit a couple 10's behind the seat if you're willing to lose a little leg room. What are you asking though? Where to go? Or what to get?

well I am asking for really...anything. help on how large to make the box for all the air flow, and maybe buying some 8" rockford fosgates and an amp. and any info reguarding a system.

A buddy of mine had a single 10 in a plain jane truck box. In a single cab ranger. fired right between the seats, and holy SHIT did that get loud.

Box size is dependant on the subs you go with. I'd look for some 8's or a single 10 that requires minimal air space (around .5 cubic ft.) and has a rather shallow mounting depth. Then just build your box accordingly. I'd probably go with a 4 channel amp, use the 2 channels on your front speakers and bridge the other two for your sub(s).
