Seems like I am having a string of problems, and its all adding up to one big headache. Couple weeks ago I had bad o2 sensors,,so I swapped those out and the car ran much better. I heard this noise that sounded like a belt rubbing against something(car ran fine for 1-2 weeks after repalcement).

Well, was going to have "the noise" looked at, but then the noise went away and the car started running like crap again(like it stuttered on acceleration like when the o2's were bad). Anyways, this morning there was no oil pressure when I started the car so I had it towed to the local shop to check the oil pump, and they said there was some wire that was unplugged(they plugged it back in so at least I get readings)?!?!

Soooooo, I get the car back, the pressure keeps going down at idle, and the car feels like its going to die. I also hear this clicking noise from what appears to be the drivers side of the engine. I dont really race or rag on the car that much, but it is up in miles 110k+. I;m going to assume the worse and say there is a problem with something internal in the engine. Anyone know a decent/reliable place to get the engine looked at and fixed?

I believe there is an engine place on Hillsborough by the interstate. Anyone ever hear anything about them?

Can someone put a wild spin on this to make it sound like it wont be that bad ? I'm like stressed out to the max.

from what ive heard Revextreme does very good work

but thats not to say a shop like Race Related cant do it either

The low oil prressure may be due to a crappy idle...making it idle lower...hence the low oil pressure. Fugure out why its running crappy. Do you have an SES light? I fso figure out what that is. Check all of your fuses. Especially the one that sais "eng senser". That runs the 02s, MAF, and several other critical items. You may hove popped it when the os sensor went bad.

Going to bring it by rev xtreme Monday. This weekend going to try and take off the valve cover to see if a spring broke.
I have a code reader and dont see any new codes.

I hope its a spring and nothing worse :/

I'll also check the fuse.

Hey Al, what was the years that had the bad oil pumps? The oil pump spring could be sticking. RX should help ya out.

I think a few of the early 2000s had the same problem as they had carried over the pumps. I dont remember anymore.

it doesn't have a stock oil pump in it, it has a Kaetech ported LS6 pump in it.

Doug, is the pressure dropping while the car is at a steady idle, or does it drop when the idle drops. Obviously, there shouldn't be any fluctuation at all, unless the rpm's are fluctuating.

I believe I put 987's(Comp springs) on those heads, and with 20K miles on them now, they should definitely be checked.

I'll watch this thread, and see what happens.

One other thing...if you had bad o2 sensors..many times youll foul the crap out of the plugs. You may just want to change the plugs first. Seen that a ton of times. SES light for o2 sensor...car runs like crap...change o2 sensor,,,ses light goes away....car still runs like crap...change fould plugs...car runs good.
