tail plate, trunk hatch, wiring, paneling all depend on age, condition, wear & tear, and construction but generally Ive noticed less rattling in hatchbacks.

It's hard to say, every car rattles differently and most cars loosen up and rattle more over time. I would think given the equipment and car though, rattling would be minimal.

Dynamat works primarily as a mass load, so it has to have 'weight'. Anything that weighs less will most likely not work as well. You should be able to take care of most of your rattles with less than 10 lbs of dynamat extreme, though. I'm guessing your wanting to keep the car light for speed, but 10 lbs. is not a real number.

dynamatt is a sound deadener, not a rattle eliminator.... tighten the stuff down, put small pieces of foam where stuff rattles and you should be set.

ya peel and seal is a cheap home depot solution, and you can put multiple layers down.

but foam is the way to go for rattles. The next project for my trunk is a little foam, and some tighting again, cuz i may lose my license plate again

I dunno about that. Take small squares of dynamat and cover all the little holes that the plastic panels pin in to. Put the pin through the dynamat...no more rattle. Same goes for small pieces put where panels meet. Stops the rattles and is less permanent than expanding foam but more permanent than something like closed cell.

Maybe not an advertised use, but it works very well.
