UPDATE! may 2nd!
Sale extended til Tuesday May 9th!!
I spoke to Autopower and as it stands, all Autopower cages are made to order. There's a three week waiting period once the order is placed (This is true for all autopower cage orders). The normal shipping cost on the cages are $140 per cage, with the larger amount involved in this order, we might be able to get the shipping down to less then $60 per cage ordered.
We will accept 50% deposit and remaining amount+shipping will be due upon pickup. There will be NO refunds for anyone that's not willing to wait it out for the cages to arrive.
Please don't hesitate to give us a call with any questions.
autopower cages are SCCA/drift legal cages.

Look at Mark doing Matts job !
Might I suggest shipping be paid upfront. Ian can just hold all the shipping down payments then pay when they all come in. When they are dropped off the guy will want payment right then and there. Unless Ian is fronting the money for all the shipping :dunno: Also cages usually take 3-6 weeks for delivery. They are made to order.
Secondly I think this group buy is a little short notice don't you ?
Great prices Ian..

For S14, isn't it required to completly strip out the interior in order to put a 8 point cage?

mike- shipping cannot be determined until all units are added, which is why you pay for the cage up front and shipping on pick up. I actually called autopower, set the prices and am bringing you this group buy. Plus I start working back in the office again may 1st ;)

No, Just remove the rear seats to mount the back bars and thats it then reinstall the back seats. The front bars do not go thru the dash

FYI - only 6+ point roll CAGES make tandem permissable. This means front hoops and door bars.

Why would Jonas need a extra roll cage?
He bought that one guy's shell with a complete 8 point roll cage. It was in his backyard last saturday.

Yeah I had an Autopower 6pt in my 328is...it went in pretty easy. Great cages. Make sure you get proper padding for them please. :)

They suck for s14's though cause they block your mirrors.
I guess just the rear would be ok but their full cage for s14 doesnt bend with the dash it just goes str8 down.

Cut.
Rear half won't help in tandem.
I would do a cage in the wagon, but I'd ruin the cargo capability I love so much. That and my dad spotted some money to buy the wagon and until I've paid him back in full it's supposed to stay stock ;)

The wait is more like 5 weeks and shipping is usually COD.
SpottedMango
04-20-2006, 02:48 PM
The 3 week wait was directly from Autopower, I don't believe it would be any shorter and I will not deny that it might take a week or two longer for it to be shipped. But I didn't mean that it would be here in 3 weeks, what I meant was that the cages will have a 3 week wait before they are shippd. As for shipping being COD, that wouldn't really matter, because we are not looking to collect the shipping cost until the cages arrive.

So for a race roll bar with harness bar I would only have to send 175 right now. Then 5 weeks from now I would have to send the other 175 plus shipping.

well the basic race is $150/$150, but if your getting the harness bar attachment, then yea.
shipping will probably be in the $40-$70 range per person
