hey all, i am looking into getting all the parts to make my 90 prelude 2ws to 4ws, and i was wondering what you guys thought of the swap, its worth in Auto-x, and general driving, but i am also looking for opinions from owners, and if anyone has one, if there is any way youcan let me take it for a spin, this is still in early stages, but i want to see what you all think

I can't speak for your car, but for most cars owners do everything they can to eliminate 4ws, not add it to a car that doesn't have it. It makes handling unpredictable and promotes understeer on my car. My car only has a toned-down version of 4ws, which I already went through great pains to eliminate by welding the rear control arms. The Galant VR-4 has the full-blown 4ws and they almost always get rid of it. Nissan guys like to get rid of HICAS, as well.

hmmm...interesting, but once your used to it, why would it be unpredictable?
i would think that instead of the force going sideways on the tire, with it turned it would promote better traction and a tighter turn, almost as if the turn was less severe...well, i guess its one of those things in theory it works...but practice is way different, keep opinions comin, thanks Jordan

there's a reason why not too many cars come with it ;)

yeah, thats what my friend said, i just like it because it is fairly unique, and i figured if it improved the car, what the hell, why not

Sounds like it might increase unsprung weight... which is EVIL!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't unsprung weight include the weight of the knuckles, hubs, control arms, in addition to the struts/brakes/wheels?
