you all missed a really fun track. the trioval was a little uneasy to me when i was looking at it but after driving it, Ocala is my new favorite oval style track. the bank is about 1/2 or less that of Orlando so its not so intimidating. let me break it down for you

+ PROS +
+ i was given more track time than i could handle, i went throught 5 sets of tires and i took a 4 hour break in the middle of the day

+ the banking is less severe and therefore less scary

+ being a trioval, there was one short banked turn, and one really long one, so u can go slower (beginner) on the one or faster (adv) on the other

+ the infield... oh god, 2x as wide as Orlando with rounded center corners (i was doing 2nd gear non-stop circles around the straighaway triangle grass area)

+ the staff and owner of the track was very excited in what I do and many people came to my pit area and just wanted to learn about it

+ the crowd, having 2000+ people cheering you on and really getting into it was awesome

+ only 25$ for track time, a show (watching other races) and getting fans and maybe sponsors from the crowd. It happens.

- CONS -

- everyone was asking "are you the only one here?" it was lonely :(

- you do have to share the track with other race series practices but its not that bad and by the time i took tires off, remounted and all that, they were done

Bill (Hachibill) arrived around 3ish, he and I were the only 2 there for the show but man, we got the crowd going with some tandem. The announcer was really pumpin up the crowd as well, it was awesome. We are basically a side-show untill we can get some more people to show up. The goal is to have a competition. People like side-shows, but they love to see a winner.

If we can get a big enough interest by doing a few of these events, then we can soon start having drift only days most likely, and draw the same kind of crowds. We need drivers. Ill post up for this weekends event in ORLANDO.

Ocala was too far for a drive for us down here in Miami to share a track, especially after not knowing what was gonna happen from attending the last Charlotte event where it was almost a war.

Sounds like it would be nice for a JUST Drifting day. Screw the rednecks and the stock cars and trucks.

i have video but no way to transfer to computer, im gonna ask bobby for his footage of the tandem since they make a DVD of each event. was my first tandem and there was one part where i noticed the yellow lights on around the track and thought they wanted us to stop so i straigtened out, then was like, no one is sayign anything, lets rock lol... then there was the miss comm with me an bill and ended up head on drift action at 50mph+(me) and about 30mph for bill... comming out of 2 different turns lmao muhahaha

you just totally want everyone to hate him or something? you'd rather bust on him than say cool, i hope it was fun? i dunno rob, i guess im more excited about driving than being 'most liked' by the community, thats why im standing on the side by myself doing these events.

That's the easy and cool thing to do. Plus, it makes it easier to maintain the "badass drifter" cover if you never actually HAVE to drift.

Fast drifter series is to poorly run ATM for me to have any interest in attending events.. the killer for me was to be out on the track and have a Fast truck pull out in front of me forcing me to go into the infield not to hit the POS.. when I am on the track it's MY ^&**ING TRACK and NO ONE else should be able to drive onto it untill I'm flaged off!
