Sounds like you agree with each other. What's the argument over?

I wish arguments with my girlfriend were this simple.
Now I hope you see the importance of revising your messages to make sure you fucking make sense..

ported hits loudest and hardest at one freq and sounds like shit for all around music. assuming its in the proper box.
Sealed box will hit hard at the res peak of the sub(in combination with the res peak of your car) and will sound better everywhere else too. Assuming its in the proper box.
so after you edit your mssg to give one of you a differing opinion you have yoru answer - ported is hardest and sealed is cleanest.

Its preference really. I prefer sealed!

I think really everyone would prefer sealed, problem is just the work put into it and the money and power needed for a good sounding one.
ported is just cheaper and easier in my opinion, I think that ported is close enough to sealed that it doesnt sound too far off, so I'm content with ported for now. But i agree, in the future i'll definately look into sealed (also because of limited space in the Z32 im planning on buying) :P

huh? theres less work in sealed. Its much easier to build a sealed box. And ported sounds nothing like sealed. A sealed box will allow you to curve the freq response of your sub to your car's peak frequency tho.

hrm i heard some sealed systems and they sounded relatively similar, i guess i just need to broaden my horizon

fuck I meant ported box will let you curve the response - sealed if pretty much up to the volume and the subs mechanical specs.
where the port is tuned to will have an increase in response, and will exponentially slope off in either direction making it perfect for getting one particular band down while ignoring others.
