I dont put much power(volume) into my speakers so i wanted to know which one would be better in terms of quality AND money savingness...

Also which would you reccomend?

Should i leave it sitting in the middle of the car, under a seat, or what?

So far I'm going with just the crossover because getting more thick wires through that little hole in my firewall doesnt look like its happening, plus taking my quarter panel off was a bitch.

anyways main question is what specific models would be awesome?

reason I'm asking is because my infinity Kappas in the front are trying to play too much bass and its pissing me off i have to turn my bass down to -3.. also my rear infinity references are trying to play too many highs... i dont mind it too much since they reproduce it rather well and it doesnt sound bad at all and they're 3 ways but i'd still like to reduce them a little and modify their bass a bit.

My first question is why were you taking off your quarter panel?

2nd. Everything sounds better with an amp.

because that was the only way i could route the stupid power cable through the firewall. The air bag cable that runs from the front bumper goes to the side and into the right quarter panel of the car and into a silicon-plugged hole that leads to my passenger side's feet rest area.

yeah i got that info from tbspyder when i went to the sound meet today, i'll look into it i guess after i pay off my debts.

fosgate - =/
infinity - usually underrated and will last a long time
polk - built like rocks and always put out more than their rated output. impossible to destroy.

underrated in the sense that people generally dont give them much thought or that they are more powerful/less powerful than what they rate them as?

I like polk as well, it IS the most expensive of the bunch but whatever, as long as it sounds good and doesnt shat out on me in a few months, I'll be happy

underrated as both they are good amps that arent usually thought of. ive never had hte chance to measure the power ratings first hand.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a fan of infinity's, always given me good times (until now) i dont know if its too much of a problem but the kappas i have are trying to play too much bass, only way to fix it is to turn my bass to -3 on my headunit but then it also drops my bass from my references in the rear. The kappas sound awesome though for non-components.

This is generally the reason why i want to get an amp for these suckers, i just need the tuning adjustments.

What do you have the crossover on your deck set at for the fronts?

crossover on my deck? My alpine settings or that little knob i have up there?

Alpine settings -3 bass; +2 treble; 0 center/balance; 0 fader.

knob is just for my sub amp bas leveller

I doubt his deck has crossovers built in. Even if it did it wouldnt have separate points for front and rear. Get yourself a nice 4 channel amp, pretty much all amps have crossovers built in them. Why dont you stop by Sound Advice on Fowler, weve got JL and Alpine amps 10-15% off.

Because last time i was there i was completely ignored. There were 6 people there, two chatting, 1 on the internet, another one staring off into space, and the other ones in the corner beating off.

Yeah i already got the suggestion by TBspyder when i went to the sound meet (rather late) and I'm already saving up for one (although i'll have to wait till the 15th of May in order to buy it.)

although all this buying of stuff is really delaying my purchase of a Z32 =[ at this rate i'm going to have to buy it next year....
