:D Hey,
you guys ever played GT3 or GT4? If you have, have you ever drifted a car in those games, and what car? I customized a '93 Mazda RX-7(FD,J) in the game and it flies down the street tracks.:crack: I also customized a '96 240SX but it is harder to control than the RX-7. BTW this is in GT4.
SO, just post if you have and what car. also how you think it handled.

usually you can find the kaido games on Ebay, if not im sure you can google it or something, also theres places to download it, but you need a mod chip/slide card/swap magic disk (any one of those) to play them
*edit* ive drifted gt3 and 4, forza, project gothem, almost anything out there ive tried, GT3 is the shit for ps2, i finally got it dialed in, but Forza is definately best with customization and actually control of drifting, its top notch wish the American PS2 would get kaido or D1 or something of the sort

http://www.yukes.co.jp/d1-game/?
If any of you follow D1 you've heard of "Yukes" Future Media Creators...some guy who started coding games at age 15 decided that he wanted to sponsor a D1 car/team, i think they have a Hachi and maybe a WRX (i can't remember), well anyway "Yuke" made a D1 game and it was supposed to be very good (even had a clutch button) he's working out a deal with some american company to bring it stateside..but if any of you have a modded ps2 chip/drive then you can pick up the jap version.
http://www.mod-chip.com/index-cart-us.php?go=en/select_ps2_main.htm
this site has two diff methods of modding..the slidecard and the actual chip...personally i prefer the hard drive method (older PS2, the slim version is harder, but i think its possible, maybe even with a thin laptop HDD)...get a big ass HDD, install the boot software, download the game ISO and your set...no swapping discs or nothin, hell you could put it in your car, no need to put in discs...with a big enough drive you can store 40-50 games easily...i know two people who have done this and successfully...setup takes about an hour, and that was mostly time it took to install the software...lol we just played GT4 on another ps2 in the meanwhile...

GT4 is best drifting, i drift gt4 online with lotta othe people, and get battles and tandems, good stuff, as far as cars, any that are rwd, but when online cant use customized cars, there just stock, but still easy to drift, and for anyone that doesnt know you can play gt4 online, lemme know, ill tell you how

you can? Holy shit that awsome!! i want to play it online!! I need to get online connection for the ps2 first though. havent gotten it. Oh about forza, me and a couple other friends compared GT4 and forza tuning. GT4 is more realistic than Forza in tuning. the HP was over shot by 60HP in Forza.:-o lol not kidding. we did research on how much everything should have been and GT4 was only off by...2HP, give or take a few.
:D About D in GT4, buy everything for the car, including a spoiler. BUY Racing HARD TIRES!!!!!:D (very important) Then just put the downforce in the front to full and the rear to 15pts lower than the front. that way you have some traction and not full. then set the springs to full on front and rear. The toe angle to -4 on front and rear. set the camber angle to 3.5 on front and 3.0 on back. ride height, set both 10pts above the minimum height. leave everything else in suspension the way it came. Then for the limited-slip set the rear wheels initial torgue at 25. If its an AWD then set the front to 20 also. the ASM oversteer set it to 1, along with the TCS. then set the racing trans to 18. (the auto) that should do it. thats all i did to my RX-7 and it works wonders in tokyo route 246.:crack:

X Link Kai, its a pain in the ass though, running between computer and PS2, not to mention its kind of a confusing setup process, anyone know where the Kaido/D1 games can be downloaded?

i think im gonna have to buy gt3 again just for drift, gt4 kinda sucks ass, but in 3 i had the 360 entry down!
gt3 is the only gt series worth a shit for drifting.
i have modded cars in gt3, like a s14 with rb26dett in it making 900 hp
and a fd with the 787b motor in it making 1,200
those cars will drift anything, any gear. its the shit.
i played yukes when i was in japan. its not that good physics.
the best game i ever played is battle gear 3, only the arcade.
the physics are like fucking real life. best game ever. by far.
it was in japan too :(
