every ED product i've ever heard has been top notch. unfortunately, every product i've ever heard got phased out... what, 2 years ago? how are the new v.2 products? i'm interested in getting a 13ov2, i like the specs, and the price is right.... and i've been tossing back and forth the idea of maybe giving their 6000 component set a try... 125 a set can't be wrong

I'm hoping to purchase two 10" dual 4ohms in the next month they look to be on par with ecplise.

Ive heard good things about the components, but Ive heard the subs low end is lacking. 105 pages of horror stories on carstereos.org about only eD are enough for me to never buy their product though. Its worth registering to read, the thread is called The Ben Milne Love Parade (the owner of eD). To top it off, theyve completely flailed many of their 'preorders' and their deadening products suck at best.
Me? I swing on Arc Audio's nuts for both amps and subs, I dont think they can be beat. Especially, even the KAR series if money is tight, bang for the buck is amazing.
P.S. I can get anything Arc, Rainbow, or even DLS that youd like. Having hookups ftw.

you work at tropical?
i might be in the market for the DLS components if you've got a good price on them. PM me i guess.
ya know I still have that 12a.
ABout all the Ed hate, I'm sure if I got shafted by a company or whatever the case may be, I'd be plenty pissed too, but some of these people act as champions of business to repeatedly let everyone else know how they were treated. My sub got here on time, in perfect working order. Aarons did too. Maybe I shoudl go around and shoot rockets from my ass about how great they were?

bump because i'm curious if anyone knows anything about the edead v1se^2... i'm trying to avoid using dynamat, because i hate the smell of tar.
edit: nevermind... fucking asphalt based deadeners :squint:
can anyone recommend a good non-tar smelling deadener? perhaps something in a spray/paint on?

Funny, I don't smell dynamat anymore...I used to have the same aversion to it you do. Have you tried the new Extreme? I've got about 150 lbs. of it in my caprice, and have done several customers cars...I don't smell it, and haven't had any complaints.
For vinyl based stuff, try Partsexpress.com They sell some vinyl sheet stuff. Cascade also makes a couple of waterbourne spray products. Partsexpress has these, as well. I've never tried any of them, so I can't say if they work.
I have tried other 'dynamat type' products, and for me, there is no substitute for the original.

Yeah, I've used a couple other brands that actually melted off the surface from the FL heat. Talk about a mess. :-o

just ordered a 13kv.2
sat in one of the installer's cars who is in the process of dynamating the shit out of his car... didn't reek of asphalt, so i guess i'll be going with the extreme. employee discount = win.

I installed the Elemental Designs 6000 components in my g/f's car..... on a stock headunit. They sound pretty darn good for the ammount of power that is driving them.
My flatcone e12a is still pounding away!
