I picked up a 2006 Subaru Sti in aspen white on Friday. I'm coming from a 2004 Mazda 3, so what a big difference!!! . I'm loving every bit of it. I cant wait til she is broken in. I'm stuck at work now but I just keep thinking of driving her. its frustrating me!!! some first mods: window tinting and what ever that'll protect the front from chipping. any suggestion? and how much hp i'll get from it? :D j/k

thanks!
Welcome to the family. Where do you plan on getting your tint down? I got both the subies here done at audio itch on Dale Mabry. Very good prices and excellent quality. All windows (expept for front of course) done for about $100 on each car, give or take a few dollars.
We have meets, just watch the boards. There's one this weekend. Just keep a look out of a post about it.
Oh yeah, btw, hott ride.

Thanks everyone for the welcome! I'll be at the meets. I would like to get my windows tinted where ever I can get a good job done at and get a film guard (or whatever it's called) done to my front end. I'm mostly on I-75 and my last car suffer from rock chips.
and reply to javasti - I stay in Gibsonton.

get to know the car. do lots of research, there are lots of options now for these cars, and most of them probly wont suite YOUR needs like you want em to.
well. your starting out at about 255whp there are subies out there with a 2.5 that have over 1000whp

most likely
you could try this guy Dominic (Street Image Concepts I think), 813-426-5529, I haven't used him myself yet but he quoted me a pretty decent price on the clear guard, and he seems like an alright guy. where ever you go for it you should try and do both the tint and clear guard at the same time and work some kind of discount out of it.
I'm kicking myself for not getting the clear guard cause my bumper doesn't just have a chip, it has a decent gash in it, along with some chips in the hood. And I'll probably have to get them painted before I put on a clear guard.

Very very nice color combo man! I used to live in the Gibsonton/Riverview area until a few months ago I moved to Valrico and with all that construction I know why you need a clearbra solution! I got my tint done at Allycat customs off Hwy 301 & 60 behind the Toyota Dealership. Their# is (813) 622-8954 and they did a great job on my '06. Have fun with the break in and will probly see you around! :)
