first off, let's say money is no object. How feasable would it be to build a short-stroked, big-bored bbc (around 430c.i.) that could rev to 8000? And at this speed, how much power do you think it could crank out? I'm not actually planning on doing this, but it seems an interesting question to me.

well it would all depend on cam specs, compresion and what heads u where using..
now to get a 433 all u got to do is bore a 427 30 over..the crank is a 3.766 stroke crank and would rev to 8 depending on what i said above...i have always wanted to do a 500ci engine using a 427 crank and a 4.500 bore..with dart 355cnc heads 14.1 compression and a 750+ lift cam u could get around 900-950 in hp..now there is many things u could do to get more or less.
a std big block chevy bore is 4.250
now to get a 434 u would have to use a 3.4 stroke crank and a 4.5 bore but that bore aint shit considering u can get blocks with a 5.0 bore but u would need like a 3.0 stroke crank..witch would be pointless
as for power it could be from 400 to 1600+ n/a

All this with one cam, and no vtec. Ah, the joys of American v8's.
