Ok so since I bought the truck a few months ago I have been planning to s/c the 4.3 V6 that is in it. I have came to my senses and relized that since I have plenty of money saved why not just go with an LS1 swap. I would really like to talk to some shop owner/worker that has done this before. I will just want a stock LS1 with a manual trans (my truck is manual), I will need everything stock to work( ac, ps, etc). The truck is a 2003 S10 4.3 V6 5-speed that is bone stock. I just need to start finding out how much once everything will be once it is done, and the time frame on which it will take ( I want the job done right but not for it to take forever). So any help will be great just shoot me a pm.
Thanks

LHT Performance in Pinellas was one of the first to do an LS1 swap into an S10. For your truck, the LS family is easier to wire in than say an LT1, but it takes more fab work to fit. I believe they have to notch the frame to clear the A/C compressor and either notch the oil pan or the front crossmember to set the motor in.

just put a bbc in one for someone, probally could do all the fab work cheaper and faster than anyone else.Have built and owned more v-8 s10.s than anybody in tampa.but you would have to get it wired up somewhere else. Thanks Mark 813 598-5564 if you need info

talk to Lee at LHT performance. He did my truck for an LT1 swap but his LS1 swaps are the hotness.
