2nd gear poped

i blew my 2nd gear last night coming home from school and now i need new tranny or rebuild this one "what evers cheaper". if i am going to rebuild it what parts will i need? please list them. i dont plan on getting sti ra gear or 6speed because i am getting rid of it as soon as this tranny is fixed. someone please help.

Didnt you just do a 2.5L shortblock? Why the change of heart?

Anyway I would just recommend having it rebuilt if youre selling it. It shouldnt cost more than $1K if its just 2nd gear and some other miscellaneous stuff. If you can find a good deal on a used tranny and swap it in yourself that would be cheaper most likely, but I havent seen any for sale local recently.
