Camber doesn't make the car slide, the driver does. Just go out and practice. Slowly build your car.

Your looking in the right area,Suspension is the most important thing on the car for drifting and to have a Good running car..have you done regular maintenance stuff?? like changing oil, belt's,brake pad's and bushing's ..etc.. Make sure everything is in good working order and up to par before trying to drift..Another thing you should look into is Stainless steel brake line's and some good Rotor's. After you get it in good running order,Go out and try to slide around in the rain in a nice open spot "parking lot's" or go to one of the Event's that are Held etc.. and then after you get the hang of it and you feel like you could use more power then start to upgrade motor stuff..

God everyone is so anal. You should all fall off a cliff! Hahaha, jk. No it's all good advice.

Now what I strongly recomend is for you to start stacking up body panels. preferably the same color as your car otherwise your car will start to look like cat poop.

before you buy anything, inspect your car make sure that all your suspension components look good, then check to make sure that the motor stuff looks ok cuz you wanna make sure it can take the abuse, and check the drivetrain cuz thats where alot of abuse is gonna be going on. afterwards i would suggest 5-link suspension first and from there on you could decide. but thats my advice anyway.

Just practice man, Do a little tune up once you get your 86..But then just go out and have some fun with it, Dont try to go really fast or anything like you see in option videos or something..Just find a nice open lot or a nice deserted corner and try sliding around..Basically what everyone else said. Im not one to tell you to wait til there is an event because that is unrealistic. Be Careful and Safe. Hope you enjoy your car :)

My best advice for first upgrade is good tires and brake pads. Go watch the drift bible that shit is good for noobs. If you need help with the car I know a thing or 2 about them
