Default Need some opinions

Ok I got a delima here. I have some cash saved up for a bike and i am trying to save as much as possible before i am ready to purchase one(hopefully by the time i am 19=august). The thing is I would really like to get one now. I have about 1200-1500 saved up. I work two jobs and my second job would be plenty of money to cover the cost of a bike. I dont need this second job, but its two nights a week and i make pretty good money (i deliver pizza).

Lately I feel as if I am stressing myself out because the faster I save money, the sooner I can get a bike. It seems like every single penny I find, I put away. Yet, at the same time I hate having this extra money because everytime I turn around I want to buy something else.

I know I probably sound like an 18 yr old squid but, the only reason I havnt gotten a bike now is because I havnt felt as if I am ready to take on the responsibility of owning a bike. I have used the past few months wisely, thinking about all the dangers and all the shit that happens when on a bike, up keep, maintenance, insurance etc....

Anyway my biggest question is should I wait and save the money to purchase one?
or
Should I go ahead and get a loan for $4,000 since i have the extra $1000 in cash and get a bike? This would leave me enough money for gear and the MSF course

* Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you would be the only one to anwser that question, if you are responsible and stay on top of priorities than go get the loan, but if you are a procrastinator and put stuff off all the time than I wouldn't just jump into it like that.

Also, at that price, youre probably looking into a carbed bike, if that is the case do consider that you may need to have the carbs rebuilt before you start riding it around daily.

For 5k you better be able to find some shit that isn't carbed or you're getting ripped a new one all the way to the bank. (used of course)

Most of the manufacturers have great financing plans. If you have great credit you should be able to walk down there with the money you have saved up and wave it front of their face and make them do as you please.

I'm a "I want it now" type of dude and would go get the financing but that is ultimately your call like ^ said. Take the MSF course BEFORE you go get the bike that way that expense is outta the way. You could probably start buying gear a piece at a time so that it doesn't seem to hit you so hard financially.

you want a deal on a bike well....you can get wrecked bikes pretty cheap... trust me just cause its wrecked doesn't make it no good. motorcycles are increadibly tough. plus what ever is broken on it can be fixed to what ever you want. i know a guy selling a 03 GSXR750 (crashed at jennings) $2000(it was mostly cosmetic..the guy was selling it cause he had 5-6 bikes), and put $3000 in to it and it will look/run as good as new
