good speakers

I've been out of the audio loop for awhile..what are the good brand(s) now adays? Want something good but not ungodly expensive. Thank you!!

What are you looking to do? You want ungodly boom?
You going for quality or quantity?
Do you have an amp that you are looking at?
best thing to do is price a good amp (or already have one) and then get a speaker that works well with that amp..

eg.. OHM load and RMS/PEAK power output.

All depends on your idea of "ungodly expensive". What's the price range you can comfortably afford? Are you looking for coaxial speakers or a component set?

I am looking for quality mostly. Am looking for ideas on 5 1/4" or 6 3/4" speakers not subs. By ungodly expensive I mean $150-$200 for that size. I have a 2003 Mitz eclipse with the stock Infinity stero, etc. I want just a little more quality maybe a little more kick.

Alpine type S coaxials 65 bucks. They sound better than the kenwoods but not as good as the diamonds which are 80.
