I got beat by an LT1 :(

Last night around around 10:30 at the beginning of I-275 near I-75. The car was a black Z28 on C5 Z06 wheels, sounded pretty mean, i figured i might have a chance since it was an LT1....

From a 70ish roll he walked out on my about 3/4 of a car, i stopped him pull around 110ish and was maybe starting to come back but there was a car in my lane, oh well.

Doesnt need to be per se, its just that the Nissans run pretty rich up top with a very conservative timing curve from the factory.

on a suby you have to tune for any minor change. PITA!!

But yes, tuning on a Z can unleash a lot of power, from the factory they are tuned to run on poopy 91 octane and conservative ignition timing.

Maxpowers: your LT1 is quite powerful, ive killed many LT1's in the past, i am shocked that with such light mods you beat me.

I raced a Green car that had a LT1 once..It had big ass tires on the back..Made funny whistleing noises..And said SOHC on the back window...It wupped my ass pretty bad..I was sad:(

Ive killed most LT1's I have raced also, so I could see how you would be suprised. Ive got a freak for the mods I have. A few years ago I raced a LS1 WS6 on the highway from about the same speed we raced from till well over 100 I got the jump but he didn't pass me.
