Mach 1 vs. C6

I was rolling down Little early in the morning on my way to work. When I got to 54 I saw the tailights of a C6 in front of me in the merge lane, so I got behind him figuring he'd go fast enough for me to get over. He kinda took off and I wasn't going to go 70 to catch him so I just let him go because I figured I'd get whooped anyway. When we got to the next light he turned and I wasn't far behind him. He kinda of waited for me to get next to him so I left it in 2nd gear. When I got my nose to the middle of his door he took off and I followed. I put about 1/2 a fender on him through 2nd, fell back to about 1/2 fender back when I shifted and then pulled back to a little bit past him, not much at all and we let out. I thought for sure I was going to get my ass whooped. So far I've fared pretty well against the LS2. I just gotta steer clear of those LS6's and I'll be ok. :)

Well, I don't know what to tell you. I didn't figure I had much of a chance, but I proved myself wrong. I raced an '04 GTO and beat him by 2-3 cars, same motor, heavier chassis so I guess it makes sense. I have beat my share of LS1 'Vettes so I don't know why you think you would destroy one.

I went door to door with a C6 and won from a 2nd gear roll ( by a couple cars ), and pulled on one a week or so ago, and when he saw me coming, he let out...

C6 isn't cracking up to be what we thought it would be...

BTW both races the bottle wasn't even in the car...

I'd be more worried about a mach1 than a C6 now, since 101% of C6s are stock, and no mach1's are...

What do you run off the bottle? Just trying to compare my times and yours to see if this is going to be the norm. I've run 12.9 @ 108 but that was with a crap 60'.

I ran 12.8@103, but that was with 100extra horses of fuel being dumped by the nitrous kit with a closed bottle :hammer:

Not sure what it runs without the extra fuel being dumped... It ran 8.5@89mph 100% the way I drive to walmart in the 1/8th, but that only tells so much...

Looks like we'd be a good race... Feel like taking a drive to night ? :D

I think Chris ran something like 13.0 @ 106ish bone stock, something wrong with your friend's mach.

Actually I ran 13.26 @ 104 bone stock, with a 1.8 60'. I don't know why your friends car is so off considering my car is actually on the lower side of the MPH for Mach 1's. There are a few that have trapped 107-108 bone stock. My 12.9 was with a 1.8 60 on Nittos because I was babying it to make sure the clutch was going to hold. After that I never got a clean pass because a bunch of Hondas were driving their stock tires through the water box dragging water up on the track. So I packed it up and left. Go team Honda!

Same style, but internally very different. The heads/cams on the '03+ Cobra's and Mach 1's are a much better design that make low end torque, which the previous 4v's lacked.

Plus mach1's are lighter, since it doesn't have the heavier IRS. The solid axle is better from drag racing too.
