Are there any shops in town where I can 4-6 guage butt connectors? I can find them online, but don't feel like waiting for shipping.

:serious:

I predict a thread in the future saying my wiring shorted out or something of the like.
What exactly are you trying to do with said butt connected wiring?

He'll use it for 1 of 2 things.

#1 (most likely) Needing to extend or join 2 cables.
#2 Seal off one end of a cable to protect it from grounding out.

1. crimping a high current cable has got to add a lot of resistance when you are talking about a cable with a .0003 ohm load. a crimp is definitely gonna increase that. Run a new cable or use an inline fuse

2. Pull the fuse on the battery end.

Guys, I don't need tips or sarcasm. I just need to know if I can buy the connectors locally.

Sound Advice has them, although they're in the install bay. They might just give you a few if you ask nicely and say pretty please.

BTW, having used them...I'm telling you, they don't work all that great, it's just too thick of wire to really be dependable. Your best bet would be soldering it together and then heat shrinking or taping the hell out of it. But if you're forced to use the butts, be sure to tape over it as well.

If it were my car i would just run new wire not like its that expensive, oo and a hell of a lot safer to do it that way

If I was looking for a handout I would care. Oops I don't, I'm looking for shops where I can buy them. BTW if you thought my previous posts had any "attitude", you're a bit to sensitive.

Thank you TBSpyder for at least somewhat answering my question.
