I have been tossing around a bunch of ideas lately, and with the addition of eclipse at my job (decent discount). I think i am going to take advantage of it.
For a head unit, I want to use the cd7000. which is the one with teh built in nav, hd radio ready, sat radio ready, gps ready ect..
link --- http://www.eclipse-web.com/cd/cd7000.html
with the head unit will be the gps105 which is supposed to enhance the area shot features (nav on the regular head unit)
link--http://www.eclipse-web.com/gps/index.html
along with the satalite radio.
I plan to use the da7122 for the sub amp. which is 1200rms
http://www.eclipse-web.com/amp/da7122.html
im gonna use the sw9102 for the sub (titanium 750 rms) 10 inch.
http://www.eclipse-web.com/sw9100/sw9102.html
for the front speakers i am going to use the sc8365 which are the 3 way componet's that are 100rms each.
http://www.eclipse-web.com/component/sc8365.html
I have not decided on rear's yet.
the amp for the inside speakers wil lbe the xa4000 (125x4 @ 4 ohms)
http://www.eclipse-web.com/amp/xa4000.html
I am also debating on gettin an EQ or not.. I dont want a crazy one if i do get one... I cant tune that shit with 60 adjustments
Let me know what you guys think. Yes btw there is a pretty hefty alarm going on the car as well . I know the amps are a little over kill, but i would rather over then under and the more i spend the more i save :)

Looks cool. Overkill on power is the best way to go. If you decide to get a 1/3 octave EQ I can show you how to tune it. I run those in nearly every install I do and I also have a RTA.

The GPS for those isn't worth it. Other than that, go for it. Although, you know that we now get an accomodation on the Polk SR6500's though right? They look sick and I hear great things.

well to me 156 dp is way to much. I am going to do one sub for hte time beeing, If i feel i need more I will just buy another one :). I mostly listen to rock and punk stuff, and when i do listen to rap I really like to hear the crisp highs, which is why i want to do those nice 3 way speakers.

do you think the polk sr6500 is better then the eclipse (sound quality wise)?? I havent heard the polks yet

IMO, a 1200w amp on a 750w sub is major overkill unless you plan on adding another sub in the near future. I'd rather not worry about cranking it up and blowing something, not to mention the whole voiding the warranty thing.
As far as the polks go, I've heard them...and will just say whoop-dee-doo. They sound good....but not good enough for what they cost. Maybe with your discount though. I'm not a huge fan of the Eclipse components either though...they seem a bit harsh on the ears.
And 156dbs on a single 15 and 1k watts? You gotta have some pictures of that setup and/or meter slips for such an impressive feat...post 'em up. That's one I gotta see to believe. Not to mention 156dbs isn't "loud enough" for you? What is? When blood vessels in your eyeballs start bursting? Leads me to believe you don't know what 156dbs. really sounds like....you're either bs'ing or are using a seriously fucked up meter.

Since it doesn't really matter to anyone here, Ill spill it. $350 is our accom price.
^ Im going with the fucked up meter. Just last week I saw my buddy meter his 2 TDX 12s ported in 4 cubes at 32 hz on 1900 watts only do a 140. It was a new TL mic. Id say the only way a 15 on 1k watts would break 156 is some BS like USACi style with a door open/meter in the kick or whatever shit they do to get their high numbers.

i watched 4 jl w7 with 4 jl 1000/1 amps do 148

the reason for that amp is that there isnt a more close matched amp made by eclipse. what does "thd" stand for? at 10% thd the amp does 1200 watts but at 1% it does 950.

our accom price isnt to bad IMO. everything i looked at its almost exactly 1/2 of what crutchfield advertised.

THD means Total Harmonic Distortion...in other words how much distortion the amps adds to the signal once it has been amplified. The lower the number the better. When you drop impedance of the amp it raises the power output while also raising the THD. This another reason why it is good to use more power then needed.

well at 10% its at 2 ohms (1200 watts) and at 1% its also 2 ohms but 950 watts. wierd

Harmonic distortion is less important in sub amps and is more of a concern in front/rear speaker amps. Hence why you'll notice mono class D amps generally put out substantial amounts of power in a small package, but will generally have a higher THD % while a/b class amps have a lower THD %.
