I Need Help On Intake Issue!!

Im getting a good deal on this Volant thing for my car, BUT both me and him daily driver our cars, so he needs my lid/lower air box filter all that crap before he can ship the volant out to me. Can my car run for a couple of days with out the lower air box/ radiator thing using the stock lid?? Or can somebody let me borrow theirs for a little while?

as long as the filter is held into the lid it should be alright

btw why you getting a volant? doesn't seem like the best intake for a non-ram air car

I'm pretty sure the 97 style won't fit on the LS1.

I would say keep the maf on there and wrap it like 4-5 times with layers of panty hose. IF you MUST do that. At least with 4-5 layers it will help some. Maybe even oil it with some K&N oil.
Just an idea. It will work I just wouldn't realy on it too much and for too long.

You know I just though of it. I think I have a stock airbox in my garage. You come get it. IT's free. LOL

The only thing I TRULY see an issue with is the radiator lacking support, dangerous IMO. That lower airbox is an intergral part of that radiator support.

I have the stock lid, just not the lower box/radiator support. after looking into it more I noticed the raditator has tabs that hold it to the car, I can alwasy re-enforce it with zip ties, the panty hose is an exelent Idea and I know the wife will not mind if I take one.

Il know sunday if it can be rigged for a week, I just seeing if somebody had one I could borrow.

No to the 4 bolts. The Volant I used to have used them. and Pinellas park.... :lol: I'm in north tampa.

I live straight accross 54/56. basically like 56/BBD. So more new tampa than north tampa I guess.

I am also at bearss and 275 area at times.
