looking for suggestions, comments about a ported/polished indy intake manifold. currently i have a stock intake manifold that is ported out and matched to a 60mm t/b. also the hedder has a cat on it still, would i benefit enough to be worth wild to get an long tube hedder?

my mods right now are:
2.0 DOHC Block
forged pistons
ported/polished head
titanium valves
headman headder
ported polished intrake manifold
60 mm m/p throttle body
mopar performance computer
crane #16 cams
unadorthadox under drive pully
drag axels
aftermarket racing clutch
new motor mounts
ice man intake
nitrous works wet nitrous system with gen x upgrade(- bottle heater)

the short answer...the indy sucks for the asking price, they have very poor quality control, the ports are badly matched(and I use that word loosely) to the gasket, if you want a good aftermarket manifold you may want to ask Alan about the one he has...I think its a blackdog unit(cant remember for sure, might be a fast fab unit as well), he wants between $350 and $450 for it..cant remember exactly offhand...ask him, it is a nice manifold though

well the one im looking at was already ported out for a dohc and a 60mm t/b (which is perfect for my application) after buying the acr im kinda tapped for cash so im working a trade of my old body kit for the manifold plus some cash . now im looking into a long tube hedder but not sure which route to go with that.

i too would advise to stay away from the indy intake. As far as longtubes go, yes, you will benefit greatly from that and be happy. I currently have a fast fab header with 2.5" flex, 2.5" magnaflow cat, and 2.5" dynomax piping and exhaust. I used to have a kirk header before and no comparison. Look for a used blackdog or fast fab on neons.org.

well it seems there are alt of + and _ about the indy. valrico do you have any pictures of your exhaust setup? ive been hearing a few cases of the longtubes having clearance issues with the firewall.

they do, we had to "convince" the firewall once to make it fit...the convincing took all of 5 minutes...heh, for that matter, I had to convince my downpipe to fit too...but thats just because I made a mistake in one of my angles

well, since you have it, you may as well install it, I'm sure its better than the stock manifold, or even a ported stock manifold(if its been port matched that is)

yah i dont know i hear different opinions. i traded my body kit and a cople other small things for it. i think the manifold would be easier to sell than the body kit was. i think im gonna install it and hopefully make some money selling the ported stocker out. only thing the indy neds is to be ported out to 60 mm. originally i thought it was ported out but its not.

You got the INDY from Jason, I'm about to get his R/T lol. Give it a shot already, if you dont like how it works then just put your stock one back on it. Stop taking everyone else's ideas into consideration, it's all up to you man. Try it, if you dont like it then put your stocker back on and sell the INDY.

i got good power gains with the indy on my turbo 2.4 but i really couldnt feel a power gain when it was n/a........and its a pain in the ass to put on

Alot of people say that the INDY is no good unless you're gonna be running turbo. Just overkill, same when you run 3" piping and a 60mm throttle body when you're all motor.

well i hear its a bitch to install but that doesnt bother me. just seeing opinions because i dont really have a day to waste changing things out, then another day changing them back if i dont like it. plus if i used it i would need the opening for the t/b opened alot. i also hear that its overkill n/a, so im open to suggestions about if it is worth the time to switch the indy with my ported stock mani.
