All I can say is, these things have saved my soul! After one day of driving and about 60 miles, I have to say I am a satisfied customer. :bigthumb:
Install was basic suspension stuff. Took a little longer because the HKS presets were not as low as I wanted, so I had to take off/put back on a couple of times. Got some help from a lovely lady and things came together nicely. :D
Driving impressions: On full soft, these are MUCH, MUCH smoother and natural than the JICs on their softest settings. Valving is just about perfect...it felt like a regular sportscar, rather than an over-valved, rigidly sprung racecar. Much more streetable in every way. With that comes a slight compromise in corner performance, as the HKS is not only valved less aggressively, but also included dual rate/progressive springs, rather than the JICs' linear springs. I would say that some body roll has come into the equation again, whereas the FLT-A2s had eliminated any body roll whatsoever, but overall, the weight transfer characteristics seem very good. The car seems more balanced on hard cornering, where the FLT-A2s had some oversteer at the edge. Braking was similar, though the JICs were again more responsive due to the difference in spring rates and damper setup. Overall, the JICs perform better, the HKS ride MUCH better.
We'll see how things go, but as of today, I'm grinning ear to ear. :D
