Jesse and Jim R. finished 1st and 2nd in ES

Ian won SS

Christy Adams won STS2L

Jim Bledsoe won SM2

And some more I'm sure I'm forgetting... FUN event. It was my first National Tour and I had a blast. I got completely demolished in ES, but I had a lot of fun. :-) Two great courses... I liked Sunday better than Saturday. Really smoothly run, great drivers from all over the country...

Good stuff.

I'll probably be back next year. :-)

Just a heads up I guess some people protested Sundays course and I guess the protest stands. The course was too fast apparently. Sundays runs may be thrown out.

Wow! What a crapfest!

I can't believe so many people have got their wigs in a jig about some cone shagging, haha!

The course was fun. Nobody got hurt. I didn't even see any close calls! There were some spins, including an RX-8 spinning through the finish... That was spectacular, by the way. Went through the lights backwards, ended up spinning it exactly 360 degrees. Awesome.

I was near the top of 2nd gear in my ES Miata on street tires for most of Sunday's course, tapping the limiter once on the way back.

Super fun stuff.

I don't see why everyone has such a problem with GCAC. They run the show like it's their own little kingdom, but so what? The have fast, fun courses, and they serve you lunch. Sounds good to me. :)

ya i got dominated in STS by the damn civics...i liked saturdays coarse a little better. Sunday the way back seemed a little boring. The GCAC guys are awesome, great group of guys. I love their events

i don't think GCAC designs the courses for national events but i could be wrong. either way they have to be approved by the safety steward & in this case it was an SCCA official. wish i'd a had my car in running order, sounds like i missed out on another fun event :(

Nope it Was a past national champion who desighed the course. He was a Corvette guy I believe. all the information is in the SCCAforum thread above.

My god, you're here too? Still spreading inaccurate information too I see.

James Ink was the course designer. He's NEVER won a National Championship, and this is his first National "event" win. He drives a BSP ZR-1 Corvette, and he's started and stays pretty close to only running with GCAC, although he has ventured out to Kansas once for the Solo2 Nationals.

Jim started autocrossing back in 2000-2001 when I did. We both used to run GCAC a lot back then, Jim was running his ZR-1 in B-Prepared, and I was running my old STS Protege.
