Me and my friend both have WRX's. Mine is an 02 and his is an 03. We both have the same mods: tbe, ebc, intake, pulley. The only thing different is he has an up pipe.

So we are both in route of buying EM. We both really like the cobb AP.

My question is can we both have the same one and share it. I have heard that you have to marry it to the one car and to put it on another you have to unmarry it from your car and marry it to the other. Is this true? Is there any way we can both share and still both have the cobb ap map on our cars at the same time? I understand that one person can only have the hand held unit, but all i want is the stage 2 map and im set. and when ever i need to get a pro tune or different stage map i will just borrow it from my friend.

Any info is appreciated.

I dont think so. You might want to search NASIOC, I-Club, or ClubWRX and see if anyone has done/tried it.

thanks guys. that cleared a lot up. i guess cobb does that so one person doesnt get one and share it with all.

how much hp will the stage 2 map from cobb give me to the wheels with the above mods listed?

Their figures on the website are "corrected" crank hp numbers. Plus, they are in Salt Lake City. I read on NASIOC that somebody dynoed their Accessport Stage 2 at around 235-240whp. I do not remember what type of dyno it was.

1 COBB AP.......1 car

After using the AP on the car ...if you wanted to sell it. Simply select revert to stock & un-marry it from the car. Can be used on another with no problems:)

With those mods.....The #'s Alizarin posted should be right on. A lot also depends on the miles on the car;)

You also might either want to take off your intake or have your car protuned.

You will see variation on how much whp you put out. Anywhere from 210-230whp. Protune when you can to get the max performance out of it. You won't need your ebc afterwards, and I'd recommend putting the airbox back to stock before you reflash to an off the shelf map.

why should i get rid of the short ram intake. i read it said you should have the stock air box, but what is the difference, am i leaning my car out by having an aftermarket intake?
How much whp would i get with a protune and how much does it cost for the whole tune and everything if i were to go march 13th?

With the basic mods mentioned.....your price would most likely be around 300 incl. Dyno time:)

Do not let other users talk you into a Ecutek or Utec tune;)

Revert back to the stock airbox or if you really want to upgrade go with the COBB SF intake.
