View Full Version : EG .vs. Lurch 240 w/Welds

So me and MTBER are finishing up a Boost Controller Install on a buddy of mines hatch jusy doing a couple pulls to see if it hits Boost Cut etc ... I go to rock a U-ey and do a pass and see some lights behind me .. I dont wanna make the pass not knowing what the vehicle is so I wait and low and behold it's my buddy Brian (Lurch on here) ..

I BS with him for a sec and then he downs it and waits , I follow and put it in 2nd from about a 40 ... I hit it and he follows , I slowly pull a little but away to maybe 1-2 car lengths out and shut down due to traffic ..

We BS again and I tell him what were doing , what the car has etc and tell him BRB ..

We go test the car its fine and we go back . Hes sitting in the same spot waiting . We ask if he wants to go again he says sure , we both agree on a dig ..

We line em up and Vega begins the count but both cars are open DP/Loud so he couldnt here Vega yelling and I got a slight jump and pull out a car or so from the go and feather it through 2nd throw 3rd and pull maybe another half car and throw it into 4th and get it up to about 120 and shut down 2ish cars ahead maybe less ...

We exchange thoughts and I take John home happy with the job ..

Not bad for a stock motor on 9lbs ... Thanks for the tune MTBER

the front of my car was at his back bumper when we shut down and my car was only running at 80% throttle but thats fine im un-tuned and would love to do it again.

Sorry I work a little too much now to be making it out to the fast and furious "races" every weekend... Im sure him and I can set something up privately ;)

Hmmm.... Funny, because I havent been out since my car has been fixed... And you knew what issues I was dealing with before after our prior runs... OK, your SS beat me ONCE from a 20 roll, after I beat it how many times from various higher rolls??? And do you really wanna claim that as a win, since I DID pass you in fourth gear??? Aside from all that though since you dont even have that car anymore, I will add that you have NEVER beat me in the Mustang... In fact, I distinctly remember beating it back when it still belonged to your brother.... So what is it you plan on beating me with???
