I had mine detailed today. I dont think Im gonna show it though, the winner might get a little trophy or something. I cant see it not being worth it.

yes, it was a bar stool with a little jet engine. It ran a 16.7 i think. So that bar stool would beat over half the cras on TR :lol:

yea that thing was pretty cool...but it ran 16 in 1/8 mile...wasnt running 1/4 mile....it did have like 6 foot flames shooting out of the back of it...

the car show part of it blew...half the guy on my crew got 2nd place and the other half got 1st place but we have no idea what they are for...

yeah it was a dissapointment...I got there before six and ran about 4 times before the line got insane then I visited the kuhmo/hooters girls. Those 16oz Budweisers kicked my ass after a while.

I gotta say the car show sucked... I wasted 6 hours of my time detailing every inch of my car, only to be covered in filth from the dirt road next to the track. Supprized I even won 2nd place seeing I didn't bother to dust it off... The bikini contest was gay, even after a quite a few beers I did not find it attracting at all. Wtf happened to the "barely legal" huster girls huh?!? Oh yeah I didn't even get the trophey cuz they judged the show AFTER everyone left including me, what a waste of $20....

Yeah on the way home from the show was fun. lol!! But yeah, all that dust really does suck. But I did manage to go a car wash to get all that stuff off at 2:30am. lol!!

what a waste of $20....

I almost took the Z06 out there to make soem passes and see the hooters girls, but then I thought to myself, if I wanted to see hooters girls I could just go to hooters:headbang:and have a beer when ever I want to. So I just cruised around in the Z06, got some Chinese takeout, went back to the garage and wrenched on the ol' Buick. I think I'll take the Buick to TnT this Thursday.

I am glad I didnt go....I would have hated to deal with that. I went last year when they had it in Lakeland and it wasnt too bad.

the guy has 40,000 in mods on the car...did u even see what was under the hood....you have what 3 mods on ur sig...wow thats some big mods there...its not hard to convert a corvette to a Z06....im sure he would love spanking ur vette on the road...

Just for your info about this vette. He co-sponser with Breathless Performance. So that will get you an idea. Why he didnt have the hood open, well you know it was dusty as hell out there and if you care about your car especially a vette, then you understand. But he did have it open when the judge came so they can look at it. If you want his mods list PM me.
But for your information, your vette is nice though.

This is just a personal bias, but no matter how much work you put into a car, if it didn't come from the factory as a Z06, the badges don't belong on it. It's a Corvette Convertible with a lot of work into it, it may be faster and handle better than a Z06, but that doesn't make it a Z06. Kinda like SS badges on a lower level Camaro modded to hell, or Type-R badges on an LS-turbo Honda.

the show f'ing blew. Wow the bikini contest was horrible. I only got to run twice. Lines were soooo long. They would alway let the bikes go in one whole group. Waste of 15 bucks. What about that burnout contest? jesus christ. Worst show ever.
Yeah i hated that dirt road, after parking i got out and was like WTF? i just f'ing washed it.
Does anyone know when Bradenton is not so packed?

I dont want to dick, just trying to be funny. So why are you riding on Z06 rims? Everyone does these sort thing, and that's how it is. Really when it come to a vette, putting Z06 stuff on, make it look nice. But type R badge, vtec tuning and GT-R badge, you can get all that stuff at PEP BOYS, or AUTOZONE. But Z06 stuff you can't just got to a store and get that stuff.

next time you see him or us out there....just come over and talk to us....they are show cars and he will be more then happy to tell you about the mods he has done....after talking with him you will be amazed on the amount of work he has put into the car...believe me it is more then just a hood that is on the car....his mod list goes on for about 2 pages.....sorry if i seen like a prick earlier

This person happen to be my brother, and he know a guy name Bill in Brandon that has a real orange covertable Z06 that he hang out with. The only thing my brother need now is the gauge cluster, and the seat. Then it will be hard to tell if it is a Z06 or not. :D

Hey man thats cool, I had no idea... I'm guessing he won first place, and I took home second. I wish I had someone to sponser my car so I don't have to drop so much money on this blower setup! The C6 Z wheels do look nice on verts tho in my opinion...
Yeah my brother know the feeling. That's his next project to get top mount blower. It's going at 6 to 7 grand right now. :-o The problem with breathless performance that dont carry those blowers, but they do have the procharger supercharger. But my brother really want the top mount style. That's what the propose of the hood he got.

I have Z06 badges;) on my vette... As for coupes/verts with Z06 badges, they can do what they want to, it's their car after all.
Then again, if I have to look at a Z06 badge on a non Z06 car, representing a Z06 when it is clearly not, then I might have to talk smack a little bit. Perhaps something (all in good fun of course) along the lines of how I'd leave my Z06 at home so that my Turbo Buick could tear up his vette on a road course, true or not true. It's funny, when I'm rolling in my Z06, I see guys in fast cars and they are all about running strong and what not. Then I mention that they'd have to race my Buick, not the Z06, and for some reason they tend to decline when I answer, "yes, a Turbo T is just like a Grand National."

The maggie is a great blower, but not the most efficient! Rumor has it since the release of the KB, Maggie will have a new competing blower also.
