Drift Fury. Round 1: Sunday, April 9th
-Spectators $5 all day. Gates Open to the public at 12pm.
-Make sure you see the ATL Freestyle motorcycle stunt team perform live at 3:30pm.
-Also don't miss the girls battle it out for $200 in the bikini contest at 4:30pm


Drift Fury Pre Party April 8th
-Saturday night pre party at Nocturnal ATL
-18 to party, 21 to drink.

When you say "decent" are you saying decent when compared to Takumi's skill in Initial D or like Alex Pfeiffer (S2k driver at D1)?

I'm saying decent as in "they will wax that ass" LOL! Just playing, I mean we have people like Andy Sapp (I'm sure a lot of ya'll know him) there are a few poeple on his level. Then you have me...I am the Drift Queen!!! :D

But mostly we do it for seat time. The competition is just an extra boner *ahem* I mean bonus. The day will run like practice (we are doing run groups of 5 instaed of 10 like usual) even during the competition. We have about 12 hours at the track and only about 2-2.5 hours are dedicated to the competition.

But $500 for first place!!!!!!!!!!! Yesssssssssssssssss!

I was at the last event...Atlanta drivers are better than FL drivers IMO. Andy sapp and Marty are 2 of the best. Erik Jacobs competed at the last event too.

I'm going to try to make this one. I'll inform Harri too.

It's a Sunday. Pretty dumb since many of us work on Mondays. I'll try to get the day off but doubt I can. F*ck. These events are awesome too...HIGH speed entry, elevation changes, and technical sections last time. Bling.

I'm from Palm Beach County...having taken the drive 2x round trip, I know I can't get there much faster than 9hrs. The best time I got was on the way up last time...just under 8hrs to get there but the weather was 20 degrees and my car has no heater or insulation so I was literally freezing and didn't care at all about tickets at that point. The drive home took almost 11hrs after running into a couple of hazards on the way.

So if I can't get that Monday off, Sunday = no go. :cry:

I'm not sure that dumb is the right word ;) We booked the venue based on available dates given by them. As you can see there are only 4. We would have liked to have more, but only 4 were available to us. If we made the first event in June (which was the next available date) I think that would have been too late to start the season.

Sorry that it doesn't fit into your time schedule. But I haven't heard of any other complaints. A lot of people actually have to work on Saturdays so this works out for them for once :) Can't make everyone happy all of the time...but i try like hell :D

Either way, hope to see ya still. Don't sleep...do it in the name of drifting!!!! :mullet:

I know you all are cool as hell (we talked for a bit at the last event - I was w/ the ter-tech camp and helped clean up trash at the end of the night) and your events are AWESOME so I'd love to attend as many as I can but since it looks like I'll have to sit this one out, I can't help but get bitchy. :p I WILL try to make though. Where can we see how many spots are still available?

If you do go, there's 2 hotels right on Turner field...you can walk to the track in less than 5 minutes.

OOO hey! But still, all I hear is blah blah blah :lol: ! I travel every weekend to drift...sometimes I drive 12 hours or more to get to a spot only to get 2 hours of sleep in my truck before the event starts then I drive all the way home as soon as the event is over becuase we can't afford a hotel after all of the money we spent on gas!!! That's called keeping it gangster :D :D :D

It's all good. I'll see you someday..and by then I will have enough seat time (since I make it to the events...Sunday or not:)) to whoop your butt in drifting!!! And then everyone will laugh at you since you got out drifted by a girl!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe that'll get some fire under your butt :D :D

I am so just having fun. I hope you take it that way :)
