View Full Version : BMWCCA Brooksville 2/19 - Capped at 50 drivers?

I tried to register for the BMWCCA event tonight, but it looks like it's full. Do they really only let 50 drivers in?

I've heard good things about BMW courses and I wanted to check it out...

50 is a nice easy-to-manage number.

Think of it this way. It's a BMW club, their primary goal is to provide fun autocross events for THEIR MEMBERS. Allowing others to participate merely helps them pay the bills. Capping entries at 50 keeps things from getting too hectic.

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the BMW club, never even been to one of their events other than co-events with PCA at ZHills airport. This is just speculation from the perspective of an autocross event organizer.

I've been to two of their autocrosses, and agree that their courses are pretty cool. The courses are big and usually have at least one long fast straight. Yes, this one is really capped at 50. It seems like a low number to me too since you'll have X number of drivers not show ... but who knows, maybe they take that into account when they cap it.

There's always the next BMW club autocross, already available at myautoevents.com!

I am all for caps.

I'm used to 7-8 runs a day when I autocrossed in MA.

yes it is true they capped the drivers at 50. I received and email asking if I was not going to attend to please let them know as they have a waiting list.

sorry to those on the waiting list the new azeni's go on the hatch saturday and are put to use on sunday :D

If this is for the 2/19 event there should be some cancellations, many of us will be in Ft Myers. Send an email to the address on the reg. page (Rafael) and ask him, he can tell you if there are any open I guess.

Ehh. Too late. I'm going down to Fort Myers to be cannon fodder for Jesse and Jim. :D
