I don't understand how removing powersteering could benefit you in drifting.
Could someone elaborate please? This has been asked here and there and it makes no sense to me to just remove that which will enable you to position the wheel to exactly where you want it, faster.
No powersteering sucks. But its a good workout for your arms.
Its better to have it IMO.

thanxs for the help. now heres another question.
does anybody make any kind of performance pump or rack for drifting?
OR
i was thinking in putting a manual rak into my FC. i used to own one with a manual rak and its a lot easier to turn with it than with a car that has powersteering and the belt is disconnected.
so letme rephrase, manual rack or powersteering? sorry for the confusion

well, without it you can get a better feel of the road, feel more of how the car is reacting with the pavement. however, its not that big of difference and not entirely 'better' than being able to turn quicker.
also with drifting, the front wheels kinda turn themselves for the most part so it isn't as bad as being in a parking lot w/o p.s.
the only other reasons i can think of could be weight reduction, less strain on the motor (for those lacking in the hp department), or it leaks so much that it's cheaper to do with out daily trips to the parts store.

PS because it allows you to be faster spinning the wheel around.
If you aint from houston, dont have dub dueces, and dont ride slow in the turning lane your gonna need powersteering, disconnect the belt its not fun without it.

I drive without it...
It sucks. My rack leaks and Im to lazy to get another. If you drive without it for a while then put fluid in your car transforms into a super car with amazing response that you can flick from turn to turn by just looking at the steering wheel.
PS for the win. Although I have never driven a manual rack car.

I have driven both, but only drifted a PS car. I think PS would be easier, but not necessarily essential.
