Charlotte Event Sunday 12th, Drivers List- Directions Look Here

Ok here is your info about the event for Sunday the 12th of this month

Gates will Open at 9am, Try and be there a bit early if you can
Rob and I will have the course mapped out for people to practice for the first half of the day...Then unto the judgeing after about noon time.

There will be no gaurantee on tire changer there so try and have your wheels mounted already.

The address to the track is 8655 piper road, punta gorda, fl 33982
Just map Quest it, Its next to the Airport in Punta Gorda so its not to hard to find.

I have a big question. How much is parking?

I was told parking isnt free. Three months ago, the owner held this kind of event before, "free drifting". The downside was parking was $40.00. doesnt matter if you driving or spectating, its $40 for parking.

The event will be from 9:00am-3:00pm as far as I know, and we can accomidate a bunch more drivers. Give chad a call on his cell, or give me a call at

Me, SilviaSan, and RacingRPS13 never found charlotte speedway.
I guess take off exit 161, and head east. I looked to the north, didnt see anything that says "airport this way" or no sign for charlotte speedway. Everything was completely flat. We went round Jones Loop.
Then i stopped at a gas station and asked some black lady there "where is the race track?" and she said "race track? hmm well its just over the bridge if you continue heading north on this road up here." So then we drove for awhile, then i decided to ask someone at another gas station. The indian guy said the same thing "just over the bridge on right hand side." We got over the bridge, then i see "Race Trac" .....GAS STATION! then im like, what stupid people we have here. why the hell would i ask to go to another gas station???
Then i went inside the race trac gas station for directions. The lady there said she doesnt know, but then a old man said, "yeah, its hmm, go back over the bridge, and make a left on US 17, and then make a right at some road name Airport...or something like that." So we went, i saw the airport symbol that points it to a road. So i went on that road, and drove for 40 mins at 65mph. Still didnt see anything. the road was completly straight, and almost no sign of life.
Then RacingRPMS13 started to cry, and told me that he wanted to leave, so i drove back going 80 mph. Then i stopped at another gas station, this time i let SilviaSan and RacingRPMS13 do the asking for directions. They said, the lady had seems very vague with her directionings, so forget her, she was no help. Then i stopped at another gas station, Citgo. Asked a indian guy there "do you know where charlotte speedway is at?" and he said "someone stopped by here today and asked me the same question. I dont know where it is, i think you should go more towards downtown and ask someone there." So then i drove across the street to some Shell gas station. I asked the ANOTHER indian man there, he said, ask that guy there who was serving fried chicken. I waited and waited in line. my fucking god it was long. stupid black people and their taste for fried chicken. Then i finally asked the guy there, and he said he doesnt know. He then yells out to everyone in the store if anyone knows where Charlotte speedway was. It was silence.
Then im like fuck it, we are leaving. We going home. So by that time, its already 12:30pm, and we got to Punta Gorda around 11am. So i drove our asses home at 90 mph to get away from stupid people.

I suppose we got off the correct exit, but never made that left on Piper Road. But i didnt see anything that would help to direct to the airport. So we drove completly around Jones Loop, then it we hit SR-45, thats when i asked the lady there, who directed me across the bay, then we drove back to punta gorda, continued on US17, and went on Bermont Road, and drove a wayyy out there, then drove back, and fed up with the bullcrap brain dead people there and went home.

In my experience, you never want to be anywhere near jones loop. You will get lost, and no one within 50 miles knows ANYTHING. It is like the bermuda triangle, sucking in travellers.

Oh, and those glass smoke pipes and bongs are really worsening their heads.
Alot of those gas stations were selling bongs for $300-600 right in front of the cashier. No lie.

Aww man that sucks. Miles and JC were both there... miles uhh... had a mishap with his car on the last run, tandeming with vang. You guys must have been sooo close, the road is piper, which is off of golf course road, which is off of airport road. They kinda flow into eachother, so you would have found it eventually. There's a lotta construction going on near airport road too, so that would have made it harder as well. That sucks that you guys couldn't make it, chad's phone was also dead, so it wouldn't have helped to call him either. Enjuku never did come, so there was never any layout or judging, it was basically a free practice day, everyone got 4 runs, of 2+ min a peice. There was no tire changer either... next time it'll be better. Sorry that you guys couldn't find it, the next event is in march I think.

Glass smoke pipes went for $199.00, and bongs started from $299.00 to $599.00. there was some really big tall pretty ones.

If no one is willing to show me any video footages, i wont go to the next one. Our asses are pissed, we all have headaches, and i spent $25 on fuel all for nothing. Well...we did find some really cool spots in the area though, but it wasnt worth it.

I woke up at 6am as my alarm went off. A few people started to call me up a few minutes later. Im like "god damn man, i only got 2 hrs of sleep, im going back to sleep." We left later that morning because being forced to waking up with a slight hangover after 2hrs of sleep is not easy to do.

Its good that everyone had a good trip down there.
I was wondering, can we camp out at the track at the next event? I hate driving half asleep.
