Pick up the Nissan 7550 harness at CC. The radio wiring you need consists of two plugs. If you get the 7550, itll only plug into the two correct plugs you need, and itll tell you all your wiring just by looking at it.

It should take a standard Nissan harness...the other factory plugs are not used.

pics later. I go to test it all and i am getting nothing... the cleansweep im guessing is supposd to have lights on, but there are none... I tested the clip with the power/ground ect. and its got power and the ground is fine. when i moved teh rca around on the amp you can hear it scratching and whatever through the speaker, any ideas? this is my first time using a clean sweep i dont know if somthing is done wrong or what.

Well...as long as it's getting power and grounded, it should be lighting up. I'd double check all your connections, test all the wires once or twice more. If you still got nothing, hopefully it was purchased from a licensed JL dealer because it sounds like the unit is bad.

got it from your store i thinkn lol but ya its a lisemced dealer.. i checked everything 10 times and there is power to the clip

check the voltage on the outputs from hte headunit - it wont put out sound unless its sensing voltage.

why would it not be sending voltage? the speakers in the dash that are still on the hu are playng

maybe the gains are too low? I'm not sure about the specifics but I know that if the input isnt sensing a signal it wont turn on. I thought the cleansweep had 4ch input?

im doing the speaker level input and then the 4 channel output for rca's. I turned all the knobs and flipped all the switches. The clip has power, so i assume that there is atleast a light or somthing that will come on then it sees power, but nothing... the amp is wired right. i hooked it to an amp from a differant car and its all working fine.

got a new unit and still no luck, I have no idea what the deal is.. Im about to just tell him to take it to someone else, the clip has full power, it has a remout out for an amp, and the amp is even turning on (from the clip that goes in the clean sweep) and im getting some engine whine, so the rca's are atleast passing some signal through the amp. when this thing ggets power, are any lights supposed to come on? do i need to do anything special to make it work? its gotta be getting power.

Only thing I can think of is you may need to pick the signal up before/after the factory amp. I'm assuming you're picking up the signal at the harness. Something you could try real quick..... pull a door panel off, run a speaker wire from the signal end of the speaker directly to the clean sweep and another speaker wire from the speaker directly to the amp. Just to test it.

I've only installed a few of those (awhile ago), I think there's a calibration button on the unit though...pop the cd in and press the button.

No, if you are getting engine wine from the amp then the cleansweep is more than likely not sending a signal.

If the wine stops when you disconnect the RCA from the cleansweep but leave them attached to the amp with the car running then the processor is not sending ANY signal to the preamp or hte preamp is not powered on at all.

+1 to the calibration with the test CD.

well i got it... im a dumbass lol.. the ground i was hooking to... wasnt a ground, but it threw me off because whenever i tested the power at the clip with my volt meter, i was using the ground wire as the negative, not any metal... so why was it reading power if i wasnt actually grounding it? whatever, it all works, sounds good ect.

sounds good, the sub isnt on yet because he has not got the amp. but it sounds really nice as of now.. i dont really care for the new alpine amp's.. the adjustments seem a little retarted to me.. i wasnt aware but the front-to-back fader isnt working, i think that is a quick fix though

Is it set on the 3/4 input setting?

TIM TIM TIM

no i think its hte 1+2 3+4

kpr10is

Thats your problem then. 1+2/3+4 is the bridged input. Switch it to 3/4 and see if you get your balance/fade working properly, that should fix it.

lol i assumed that was the problem, I had to work yesterday and I had about an hour after I got it all working to clean it, put back together and half ass tune due to the rush. I thought that was the bridged but i wasnt sure, and they were all working so i left it lol
