ac problem someone help

well heres my problem... i have a 99 pontiac grandam an i was gone for 4 months an my car was only started like twice whiel i was gone.. well my ac won't work... the problem is there is no pressure in the system, so the pcm shuts off the compressor when pressure levels get to low, well i can't get pressure back into it because the compressor won't turn on... even tried jumping it... is there a way to get the compressor to run so i can add coolant to get my ac back an running, cause you can't add the stuff if the compressor won't turn on... is there a bypass somewhere to get it to run?

the can should have more than say 30 psi in it. when you hook it up to the low side fill port it will flow in. that will close the low pressure switch in the ac system and the clutch on the compressor should engage.

you have a leak, it needs to be found and fixed.
