Default Cruise Control Removal

I have a aftermarket steering wheel and hub and do not have cruise control capabilities any longer. Will it mess anything up by taking the cruise control components out of the car and if not does anyone have a proceedure for doing so? Thanks.

You can do it and your car will be fine. All you have to do is buy this http://www.diamondstarmotorsport.com/maintengine.shtml

I see I can purchase a cruise control removal throttle cable. I know the one end would hook to the engine but where does the other end go if it's not going into the cruise control module? Any pictures? I just want to see what I'm getting into. Thank you very much.

Heres a picture. It goes into the firewall behind the intake manifold. Just follow the old one where it goes in the car and you'll see where to put the new one. Sorry, it's alittle blurry. I forgot I had my camera set on 3MP instead of 5MP.

It just directly attaches to the gas pedal at the top and routes through the firewall, same as the cable that goes to the cruise box right now. Get under your dash and look at how the throttle cable is attached, then look in the engine bay. You'll figure it out.

question what is the advantage of taking out the cruise control? except for the weight and the added space.
