I have to repaint the small amp because the automotive tape I used pulled the paint off and I think the purple is too thick. I need less coats. Dont mind the mess, my vacume and good camara were at Busch Gardens today ;) I also have to find an adhesion promoter for the aluminum caps because the paint doesnt want to stick for some reason. The big amp will look like the small one when Im done with it.

Those were 6 lanzar max12Ds. powered by a single mtx 81000D. severly underpowered but managed to pull of a 144. Which wasnt bad for only 1/2 inch of excursion. Never had enough power to them before i sold em. Now im running 4 of the same subs but in 15's powered by 2 1600 watta amps.

Idk y everybody knocks on the lanzars. You get way more than what you pay for. They handle decent power and get pretty loud.

I can not really put a price on the system since I am sponsored for a good part of it and I do all the work myself. If I were to retail it out it would be in the 25k plus range though.

ive had a lanzar cd player looked cool as shit very nice features... but it broke after playing a cd for 30 seconds and now only the radio works and i cannot detach the face plate because the motors dont work to slide the face plate down to reach the buttion so i have had bad luck with them... and yes SQ isnt that great but looks like you were going for SPL any way

For a long time lanzar has made a good sub and amp when you do a price comparrison. It has seemed they have tagged some very cheap import stuff with their name it is hurting their reputation. I have installed dozens of their subs and amps...no problems. But I also have installed some of their other product to fund it less then average.

thanks for the compliment on the look... they sound great, nice clean hit and screaming mids and highs, the system set up is actually for sound quality and i will be competing in daytona with it in a couple weeks. I had a guy i know who has been in the business since mad marks was small do the work.. took about 4 weeks but i am very pleased with the results.

It wasnt completed. there were 3 type R 10's, an mtx 1501D to power them.Polk momo carbon fiber componets all around with an mtx 1004 to push them (Exact same size as the 1501D). the top piece was a mirror with led's shining threw it (yes a mirror). on each of the cut outs for the amps/caps/sides of the boxes was plexi glass etched with lights shining threw it. red green or blue, or whatever combination i chose.

Really good.. in fact i jsut got back last night from Spring break nationals in daytona...ended up with 4th place out of about 15 in my class got a pretty good sized trophy..i gotta fix a couple minor things and i could have gotten a lot higher...ex they took off 5 points b.c i missed looming the power wire from the fuse to the firewall...yeah they get picky in my competitions...but yeah its great for sound quality got like 270 outta a possiable 293 points in that category..that and what most people dont know is that total is actually a sub. company of JL..so yeah its backed by some R & D money.

Not gettin money yet from them and honestly dont want to b.c if i do i gotta jump into the hardest class in sound quality..so yeah ill pass but i sent out a sponsorship packet to comptect saying i want to expand out of jsut car audiop competitions so we will see how all that works...i think i need more trophys though... Im going to the show at the edge tomorrow then a go to GA in april, and South Carolina in August and if i do well at those i might qualify for the world finals

there it is my biggest problem with car audio in florida- shops dont get involved and dont spouncer compititions, so you have to drive all over the country just to get enough points to goto the good contests, up north and out west there is a show somewhere ever weekend and less than a few hours driving. Again ++++++ to tjelite for putting on some kind of show, now we just have to get the other shops in the area to get the same attitude, and maybe car audio will come back like it was in the late 80's and early 90's....

I dont want it to come back to life, I cant handle my workload as it is and there are too many assholes blasting midbass from their subs that sounds like ass and they dont turn it down at light/residential zones.

Highly doubt car audio will ever come back like it was. I think it will continue to evolve into something different due to the changing times...all the new and upcoming noise laws combined with heavily intergrated factory systems have caused the industry to take a different path, probably for the worse.

Looks as if the baffle meets up with the weatherstipping at the top, and the port and sub face away from the car, esentially seperating the car from the bass.
