buick riviera help...

I am trying to replace the brake pads on my friends riviera, and when i went to compress the caliper to make room for new pads, it wont move. I have done this many times and never ran into this problem, i have tried loosening the bleeder, and fluid comes out, but the caliper will not move..i used a hydraulic prying tool, c-clamp, and everything else, but it wont move. Any suggestions?

how were the brake pads you removed? were they evenly worn? or was there a noticable difference in thickness of the pads? How did the disc look? even wear, or was it very red on the rusty areas(not normal rust color but bright red kinda)
